Words you live by
"Do whatever it takes to let your children see what lights you up." and... "There is no one right way to parent or live, but there is the right, aligned way for you."
We’d love to learn a little bit about your own journey to where you are now. What led you to becoming a coach and facilitator specializing in new parenthood and life transitions?
My path is framed by advanced education and continuing studies in transpersonal counseling, gestalt awareness practice, somatic studies, and early childhood education. I’m a certified birth & postpartum doula, and hold a Masters of Education from USF. I have deep training (both formal and informal) in Mindfulness-Based Transpersonal Counseling. That said, it is my lived experience that has shaped my facilitation and coaching practices. This kaleidoscopic journey, into the realms of birth, death, divorce, and sexuality, both within and beyond heteronormative society, has inspired a sincere approach where my listening and curiosity in people, and their deepest experiences, are met with humility, audacity, and compassion. With all that I have learned and studied and lived, I work to support you in connecting to your personal compass so that you can parent, live, learn, heal, and grow in a way that is joyful, nourishing, connected and true.
What is your philosophy around the work that you do with your clients who are new parents?
My mission is to guide you into deep trust with yourself. I will help you clear the path and support you into skillful practices rooted in embodied self-trust as you lead yourself into the next chapter of life. Together, we will turn deep transitions into clarifying life experiences, cultivating awakening all along the way.
We’d love you to share more about what it’s like to work with you, whether it’s through your group sessions or 1:1 work (New Mothers Circle and Mama + Babe Groups vs 1:1 coaching:
We will sweep the path as we go. We will meet dark & light spaces, and step into real power as we complete cycles of grief and fear, safely confronting what is standing between you and what you want. We'll arrive on the other side, refreshed with confidence and trust for the journey ahead. My work and life perspective are inherently culturally responsive as I draw from the diverse experiences of motherhood, social justice, queerness, and equity. I believe culture varies not just from region, nation, ethnicity, race, or religion, but within each family system and individual. My group offerings cultivate the opportunity for true, deep, real, vulnerable and authentic connection where you know that you are welcome, and there is unconditional acceptance and love. You become part of the fabric of community with your child, and there is a reciprocity that can't be done on your own.
What inspires your work?
Mindfulness, tantra, social justice, counterculture, my own journey in this wild thing called life.
What is the one thing that you wish you could tell all new parents?
You are the perfect parent for your baby.
What is your self-care ritual?
Nature, movement, meditation, dancing all night, date night, spacious mornings with tea/coffee
What is something that most people don’t know about you?
I'm an introvert and need a lot of solitude!
